Hello World
My first blog post — a brief introduction to who I am and what I'll be writing about here.
Hello, World!
Welcome to my blog. I’m Irvan, a software engineer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is my first post, and I wanted to start by introducing myself and sharing what I plan to write about here.
Who I Am
I’m a backend-focused software engineer with around 5 years of experience working across different industries — from e-commerce to SaaS. My main tools are Go and Ruby on Rails, though I enjoy picking up new technologies when the problem demands it.
Currently, I work at Mekari on MekariSign, where I’ve had the chance to build things from scratch and scale them to handle tens of thousands of users.
What I’ll Write About
This blog won’t be a strict technical journal. I’ll write about:
- Engineering lessons — things I’ve learned building and scaling systems
- Personal reflections — on career growth, habits, and productivity
- Occasional tech deep-dives — when I want to explore something in detail
Why a Blog?
Writing helps me think more clearly. When I try to explain something I think I understand, I often discover gaps. Plus, if something I write helps even one person, that’s a win.
Thanks for being here. More posts coming soon.
